How to Change the Paper Color in Photoshop

In this blog post, we will be going over how to change the paper color in Photoshop.

In this example, we're using our powerful Phantom Paper seamless texture pack but this simple technique applies to any paper texture that you want to change the color of in Photoshop.

The pack has a wide variety of paper styles but we kept the paper it's natural colors so you have a solid base for your art.

  1. Select the layer with the paper texture in Photoshop. In this example, the base paper texture is RSCO Laid Paper.
  2. Click the Adjustments panel and choose Hue/Saturation.
  3. In the Layers panel, right-click on your new Hue/Saturation layer and choose Create Clipping Mask.
  4. In the Adjustments panel, adjust the Hue and Saturation until you're happy with your new paper color.
